Description of Practice:
Mr. Ted Donohue has over twenty-five years of trial, appellate, and litigation experience combined with his unique background in environmental science and alternative dispute resolution methodologies.  He has extensive experience in business litigation -- from breach of contract and collection matters, to trade secret and wrongful termination claims, to business dissolutions.  Mr. Donohue has handled complex construction cases (e.g., contract disputes and defect claims), business disputes (including a $1.2 million dollar jury verdict), and environmental contamination litigation.  He has defended businesses in Prop 65 and disabled access (ADA) lawsuits, superfund (CERCLA) Recovery Actions, and Toxic Tort cases.

Mr. Donohue’s litigation experience is enhanced by his Ph.D. from the University of California, Irvine where he studied Environmental Science and Public Policy, completing his doctoral dissertation on the use of alternative dispute resolution methodologies (such as arbitration and mediation) to resolve environmental contamination disputes.  He has also co-chaired a task force of the American Arbitration Association to draft the Associations' Mediation and Arbitration Rules for Environmental, Natural Resources, and Land Use Disputes.  Mr. Donohue teaches, writes, and is a frequent public speaker.
